The Pinnacle of Climbing Fashion
Roberto was kind enough to throw this video together from his trip bouldering in Hueco. It includes a clear explanation of the fascinating phenomenon where boulderers climb shirtless with a beanie. Be prepared to be blown away by his deep revelation into this sub-culture of climbing.

While ridiculous in general there are exceptions where I’ve found this paradox to be necessary. Namely after days or weeks of not washing your hair properly the need to keep it covered and under control with a beanie of some sort overrides any societal norms.
But the shirtless beanie phenomenon is limited primarily to the bouldering sub-culture and I find it hard to believe that boulderers are dirtier than trad climbers. When’s the last time a boulderer excavated 50′ x 4″ crack with their nut tool while all that filth rained down on them?
Dude, the credits are longer than the movie itself!
Film harder next time.
FILM HARDER!
Hilarious!
While we were on this bouldering trip we watched a lot of videos. They all consisted of music that didn’t quite fit and a 3 minute video only had about 15 seconds of climbing in it, the rest were intro and credits! So this video was a bit of a lampoon. Also there weren’t many photos of sends so i had to do something.
There’s a follow-up video to this, yes? Beanie and underwear?
Told you to be careful…Shay gave you what you asked for.
Lin,
careful what you ask for…
How about a Stone Nudes, Beanie Edition?
I think my laughing lasted longer than the video
What was that Lin?
New fashion concepts in bouldering
