Another beautiful weekend in Joshua Tree and a few more sweet routes ticked. After a lazy saturday-morning wakeup Josh and I made it to the park before noon and headed straight for Hidden Arch, an amazing left leaning corner just to the left of Loose Lady. This thing is pretty hard, with funky crimping outside the corner followed by body-englishing your way up the corner. A total Scotty route.

Josh fired it second go while I managed to get all the moves on TR. Definitely going back to work that one out.

The next day after erasing some trails via “vertical mulching” for ACSD we headed straight for Rusty Wall where I pulled off the redpoint of Wanger Banger as the first route of the day. Sweet!

Then in the most amazing effort of the weekend, Nath, fresh off her onsights of Left Banana Crack and Heart of Darkness, came “THIS” close to sending Wanger Banger onsight!

After a rest she fired it easily.

Then we headed over to Father Figure, a 4-bolt 4-star overhung crimp and jug-fest. That’s a star per clip! (Can’t stick-clip if you want to get all 4 stars).
