I brought the down because it’s way lighter than a DAS, and we weren’t expecting to be wet, and it worked out fine. Also since we’re going in a push, we’re not too worried about the weather changing.

Sounds pretty standard, you prefer a down jacket over a synthetic (DAS or micropuff), was moisture not a problem? Seven slings worked as well, not more?
