Now I KNOW I’m out of touch…..I don’t know what half that shizz is.
Or maybe I’m just a lamebrain……Hmm, could be.
ok, Ok, I’ll get out more often. Sheesh.
Why did Charles call the heavy bag get-ups the “Turkish sit-ups”? Is it a notion of bag that replacecs the lamp you carry on your shoulder or a Turkish-style torchuer/ Good exercise though – works your strength and balance.
What we did were simple get-up’s. The turkish get-up involves holding a weight over your head with your arm extended and your elbow locked. I have no idea where the name of the exercise originates from.
