Wreck Yourself Wednesday 06/25/2008

June 25th, 2008 by Shay

Back to power again. I think Charles was mad at someone or maybe he just didn’t feel like playing with stop watches. The modus operandi for today was reps…lots and lots of reps.

Thanks for the initiation. Despite the inability to lift my arms, i’m already looking forward to next week’s session.

That wasn’t power that was pure mental endurance.

Yeah, we are based out of San Diego.

I also thought this session had a big mental component. When you start, you say to yourself “there is no way I am flipping that thing 100 times” but sure enough….

Good job guys! I would say “power” because we were pretty much doing these excersices in “mini-sets”. I would flip the tire about 25 times stagger around for a few seconds, catch my breath and do it again. Felt like I was at the gym in a weird way. I would say the original WYW would be endurance (e.g. one minute stations), and doing circuits for time is cross-training (power and endurance: 5-8 min intervals).

At the end of the day who really cares, no pain, no gain.

we might need to start flipping heavy machinery since the single tire is becoming commonplace. maybe kostas’s volvo…

Done! I have ordered the 500lb tire – we will lube it up with Kostas’s personal vasoline supply. Otherwise we are in Bangkok now! Everything is good, although this place is a little crazy. Trying to get the fuck out. I ready for beach climbing down in Railay!

One of my coworkers passed out in one of the bootcamp sessions. Instead of blowing chunks, you guys should aim for passing out next!
