Regular Northwest Face of Half Dome (Summer 2007)
Shay and I decided that our main objective during our weeklong stay in Yosemite last summer would be the Regular Northwest Face of Half Dome. Since Shay had zero aid experience, I showed him how to aid and jumar on Lie Detector at Woodson… A couple laps up and down and I pronounced him ready for a bigwall.
We cruised the route according to plan:
Day 1
Hike up the Death Slabs, fill up water from the spring at the base, and fix the first three pitches.
Day 2
Blast up to Big Sandy, the bivy ledge at the top of the 17th pitch.
Day 3
Finish the rest of the route and run 8 miles down to the pizza deck!

love the interactive topo thingy. I think you have too much time on your hands!
The Robbins Traverse picture is classic!
sweet!
Clearly the best TR on pullharder. Don’t be modest. Okay, fine, at least it has the coolest topo.
