Wreck Yourself Wednesday – All By Yourself

December 26th, 2007 by Nate

Since everybody’s out of town this wednesday, WYW did not happen as usual.  But who decided to get wrecked anyway?  I found a badass old gym here in Santa-Fe, New Mexico.  It’s old, old equipment in a warehouse-style.  Arnold probably worked out there in the 70’s.

I went for a half-strength, half WYW style workout:

  1. Warmup on the Bench Press
  2. Relatively Heavy Deadlifts, ending at a few reps of 345
  3. Few sets of Military Press
  4. Three sets of “The Bear”

Anybody else wreck themselves today?

Post it up.

Good shit Nate. Time for some pro! Did manage to get a little done over the holiday. More to come before I go back to work next Wed. Ready to go fucking nuts before they put me back in my cage.

I work out at 24 hour fitness in PB, for extra punishment I only look at the ugly chicks.

30 min (148 floors) on the stairmaster warm-up
    8 sets of pullups (12 pullups/set)
3 sets of seated rows (15 reps each, 130 lbs.)
3 sets of leg lift abs (20/set)
3 sets lower back lifts holding a 25lb weight (15/set)
3 sets spin the biscuit with 10 lb weight (40 sec/set)
    15 minutes stretching

I kept my shirt on the whole time, listened to my mp3 player, and my hair was perfect!

On christmas day, I ran from my dorm to Black’s beach, then up the cliff trail and back, which normally takes me about 40 mins. I was close to puking, and on the way back to my dorm, had to make a pit stop in the forest to avoid shitting myself. Reminds me of the good ol’ days in cross-country, where it was not uncommon to return from a long distance run with no underwear…

Does digging trenches in my backyard count?

I dug up a maze of trenches and holes for a tree and a drainage system over the week. Had to pop quite a few Ibuprofens after that.
