Wreck Yourself Wednesday 12/19/07

We were all hoping for some rain to add to the mix but it did not happen. Otherwise, business as usual.

WYW News:

Prepare yourself for the WYW Olympics which is coming soon.  All your hard work is going to be put to the test.  We will be doing various circuits for time in an effort to start setting some standards and goals.  Unfortunately, WYW not be in session next week because of the holiday. 

Your WYW Summary:

Warm-up run and stretching, 15 minutes.

8 minute circuit of 8 exercises (1 min/ea.), 4 circuits, 2 minute rest between circuits:

Bucket Carry/Wind Sprints
“South of Heaven”
“Flesh Storm”
Box Jumps (22″)
Jump Rope
Tire Smash
“Heart of Stone”
Spin the Biscuit

Followed by a warm-down run, 7 minutes. -NEW!

As always everyone is welcome to come out every Wednesday, as long as you don’t have “stuff” to do.  Remember:  it does not have to be fun to be fun! We start at 4:30, sharp.

    Welcome to WYW Scotty and Joanna!
    I am bummed I couldn’t make it but was there in spirit. You should have seen people’s faces as I did one handed pushups at 4:45pm in the aisle of the Boeing 747.

    Also welcome Gil! He brought up the idea of doing the cool-down run at the end which was a great addition! Any progress on the ladder for next time guys?

    Wish I coulda made it…I opted for a low-intensity RIMAC workout for my lower back pain, then some stairs at the UCSD track.
